A contemporary interpretation of the classic solitaire, this split band ring is designed around the graceful proportions of a 0.89ct natural light yellow oval diamond. The elongated silhouette of the oval cut creates an elegant sense of length across the finger, while the diamond's soft golden hue brings warmth and subtle character that feels both understated and distinctive.

Held within our signature compass-style setting, four sculptural button claws secure the diamond with precision while allowing light to enter freely from every angle. The open split band frames the stone rather than competing with it, creating a balanced composition of clean geometry and negative space. Finished in satin 18ct yellow gold, the muted surface provides a gentle contrast to the diamond's lively brilliance, allowing its delicate champagne-yellow tones to take centre stage.

Unlike more common colourless diamonds, naturally occurring light yellow diamonds owe their colour to trace amounts of nitrogen within the crystal lattice. As carbon atoms formed deep within the Earth's mantle over a billion years ago, small quantities of nitrogen became incorporated into the diamond's atomic structure, selectively absorbing blue light and producing the warm yellow appearance. This subtle colouring is entirely natural, making each stone unique.

Handmade in our London workshop using certified recycled 18ct gold, the ring reflects our ongoing interest in architectural form, proportion and craftsmanship. The split band creates a light, sculptural profile while maintaining strength and comfort for everyday wear.

Every piece is handmade by us in our London studio using traditional goldsmithing techniques.

We use certified recycled gold as standard. Our refiners use closed loop processing and are regulated by the Responsible Jewellery Council.

Gemstones are sourced through our trusted and accredited partners. Where full traceability is available it will be listed in the product description.

All diamonds are ‘conflict-free’ and our suppliers adhere to the Kimberley Process.

Exterior packaging and filling is fully recyclable.

As we make everything from scratch almost every element of a piece can be adjusted or customised.

Rings and bands can be made to any width, depth or shape/profile. All pieces can be made in 18ct yellow, white and rose gold (unless OOAK). Platinum and palladium is only available in solid bands 3mm and above.

There are three options of finishes on our jewellery; heavily textured, soft satin and highly polished. Please get in touch if you'd like a different finish applied, depending on the complexity of the piece there maybe an additional charge.

We can source alternative gemstones in different colours or cuts (shapes).

White diamonds are available in a variety of varying qualities and we are able to collate a few options to choose from if required.

If you are looking for a certified ethical or more environmentally friendly option then we can offer fully traceable diamonds and sapphires, but bear in mind there will be more limited options.
